So my professor ok'd my independent study project, where I will do a content analysis of how US media covers female terrorists. I also started reading Michel Foucault "Discipline and Punish" (where he spends the first 3 pages describing a brutal public excecution!)

Thank you. I hope it is! It will be a while before I really get to do things with it though. During the summer I am supposed to have a reading list preparing for it, then hopefully in the fall I can actually start.

haha, no, it is just a sociology joke that i think only makes sense to me . . . basically, i got scolded once for writing about data as if they were singular, so i have a post-it on my desk that says "data are plural, datum is singular." it's not very funny when i write it all out!
