Today I realized how many things I am doing this semester that I am terrified of. Tomorrow is my first day of PROJECT SHINE, where I am supposed to give ESL tutoring to elderly asian immigrants without a lesson plan (or at least one I eventually make myself.) As of tuesday I got out of jury duty. It was a really crazy experience being in the court room and being part of the jury selection process, because the case had to do with sexual violence, and the judge and the lawyers were really insensitive with all the possible jurors about everything. So my professor ok'd my independent study project, where I will do a content analysis of how US media covers female terrorists. I also started reading Michel Foucault "Discipline and Punish" (where he spends the first 3 pages describing a brutal public excecution!)
