I loved the Liquor Barn and alcohol descriptions too. It seemed very Wilson POVish to notice the details the way you had them:
single malt from some island in the Hebrides with an unpronounceable name, good Kentucky bourbon, gin in a crystal-blue bottle that actually looked a lot like antifreeze and probably would've served the same purpose....a bottle of Bordeaux from a shelf, some small part of his mind identifying it as one he'd shared with Amber, and added it to the cart And then to sit in the parking lot for 30 minutes. Sometimes there is just something so sad about Wilson. Always trying to do the right ( ... )

Yeah, Wilson and that sadness of his. Trying to do right by everyone, but also keeping a minimum safe distance from whatever explosions of joy and rage might be going on with House and his mom.
I, too, was very pleased when House climbed into Wilson's bed.

And this But here, nobody will ask why he's still traveling, when he's going back to work, when he's settling down very much the change we saw in Wilson in the last few episodes of the cancer arc. I hope that he gets cured of his cancer but still retains a little bit of the selfishness that he began to show.
And Blythe! Knocking back the spirits with Wilson! (Well, House had to get his drinking somewhere :) Surprising, but in keeping with the 'new Blythe' that we saw in the eighth season.
Blythe stands so close to her son, finds every opportunity to be near, puts her arm around him, reaches up to put her hand on his cheek. Wilson pretends not to notice that raw joy, or the bitterness that jostles it sometimes.
I like the touch of the bitterness - because House is alive but still the decision he made, and the hurt he did to her, remains.
Thanks so much for continuing this :) :)

It was horrible, what he did to her, and they both have to face that now. But there was so much comfort in your story, too. <3

Because it's interesting. And Wilson made House's mom laugh.
