Thanks to everyone who sent me thoughts and energy and prayers today--they were much appreciated! Sadly, I'm not 100% sure if they worked or not, but they certainly couldn't have done any harm. And it's nice to feel loved.

The deal is: I've been having a weird pressure/pain/general-uncomfortableness in my "lower right quadrant" so my doctor, ( Read more... )

Sorry for the frustration. If the next steps don't reveal anything, it might be good to get a second opinion, from an OB/GYN. (Don't know if your normal doc is a more general family practice doc, NP, etc.) Even great docs miss things sometimes, and as frustrating as it can be, it is vital to be an advocate if you feel like something is going on. Hugs to you, and let me know if I can do anything to help.

Thanks for the hugs and advice!

My doc is indeed a general family practice doctor, but my ultrasound was actually done by the OB/GYN imaging department at the Fairview/Riverside clinic (my clinic is a smaller one in Bloomington) so I have to say I trust their diagnosis. My doctor should be calling me to discuss the ultrasound results in a couple days.

And I'm starting to think it might not be reproductively-related at all, so I'm thinking through a more thorough description of exactly what I'm experiencing, for when she does call. We'll figure it out. In the meantime, it's only annoying, not debilitating, so things will be okay. Thanks again for being so supportive. I really don't think this is going to turn out to be a big deal, but at the moment it sort of is, so I really appreciate your concern and listening ear. :)

Well, I'm glad they found nothing serious, but sorry they found nothing at all. I hope things get straightened out, and I do agree with the other comment about getting a second opinion. For peace of mind if nothing else.

In re: bedtime - I'm starting to love going to bed at 9pm, I'm getting up better too, but I hate missing out on some of my TV! Except that prime time TV is still not good for my brain and I end up in tears as often as not. (I should really start watching less drama and more comedy, methinks.)
