Many years ago I went to San Marcos to “see my cousin,” except I really went to see if I’d run into you. As if it were the stars aligning and that our love was somehow meant to be cinematic and predestined to be able to survive anything. I was there with my parents and told them to hold on and that I just had to look for something. I ran off hurriedly avidly searching in every direction.
