In exactly one week today Holly Miranda's debut album The Magician's Private Library is officially released. I'm so excited - despite having a digital copy of the release for sometime - I've already pre-ordered my CD and 12" vinyl copies. Just when I despaired that America was taking over the music scene of 2009 with more generic electro, Canada comes back fighting, in the shape of Land Of Talk. Originating from Montreal, these guys are the epitome and possible saviours of Canadian indie/rock...

Back in the 90s, the Aussie's started a trend by sending out their hottest young actresses from (their only good TV soap) Neighbours, to forge shiny new singing careers. Kylie Minogue led the pack, followed by Natalie Imbruglia, Holly Valance and Delta Goodrem, to varying degrees of success.
