Remind me to call before I come over lol I have had things like this happen to me too and I live in the freakin city!! More than once I have met someone at my front do with my .45 in hand after they rattled my door knob. I think the Jahova's Whitnesses had a real come to Jesus moment. Good move calling the sherif and letting them know what is going on and that you are truely afraid of what may happen and you WILL defend yourself and your family. What ever you do, just don't shoot in the back as that is hard to explain in court. :(

Funny story. A buddy & I were at deer camp a few weeks ago. The Jahova Witnesses came by. Now mind you this is a very remote area. They have to have radio phones cause there is no service. So anyway, I hide behind the bard cause I can tell what this is, so they snag my buddy. The lady talks a minute then asks

Lady: "So Sir, would you like to be Jahova's Witness"
Buddy: "Look lady we were working over there by the barn I didn't even see the accident"

She didn't crack a smile, but her teenage son almost lost it.

This person does sound very suspicious - be very careful! You are fortunate to be in Texas when stuff like this happens to you. I'm sure a Los Angeles country sheriff would not be so understanding of your need to "do what you have to do" if it ever had to come to that...
