I didn't read it all because my eyes hurt but thanks for posting. I think we don't protest because we've learned that people don't listen, and we waste a lot of energy so we just get sneaking from the inside.

I could go on and on about this article, I think it builds off the notion best expressed in michael moore's sicko: "I think that here [France] the government is afraid of it's people; whereas in the US the people fear the government" Very interesting article indeed.
