There are threats of thunder and lightning for the next couple of days. I love a good storm, but I have things I need to do outside. We will see how thwarted I am by the weather.

It was overcast and rainy in the morning, but the thunder and lightning never actually arrived. So the afternoon was nice, thanks.

Yes, I really, really do not want the lie detector! Some lies are important to understand, but so many are minor or socially-necessary, I'd much rather not know about them.

Yes, they really are. I would hate to have them in my face all the time.

I remember reading a fanfic where people had different gifts. Some they could turn on and off, others were always on. There was someone with the ability to tell if someone was lying and he couldn't turn it off. It made it incredibly difficult to have relationships even friendships. Just think of all the little lies we tell each other to spare feelings or keep confidences. At the same time, I'm not sure I trust myself with the ability to lie and always get away with it. Difficult choice.
