I am doing pretty well this month, but I suspect that won't last in the next few days. But, this morning I do have time to post, so here goes - a bit of indulgent fantasy today:

15. If you were to open up any sort of shop or store, what type of shop would you open?I don't think I'd want to be a shop keeper, not really, but if I had to I would ( Read more... )

A stationers would be lovely. The pandemic has the mister and me sifting through two boxes of postcards, cards and stationery we've collected over the decades. Our friends and families are getting a lot of cards and letters!

There is something about clean, unused stationery. It has magical attraction properties.

Oooh, man. A stationer's shop would be SO cool.
My sister and my bff when we were in like - fifth grade, we got sealing wax and stamps from the local Hallmark store, and sent all the letters with wax seals. It was *so* fun. I actually got to go into a bookstore this month (we don't have one here in my town anymore), and i spent more time looking at all the journals and diaries and things than i did books. That kind of stuff is like *catnip*. Or heroin, heh.

I love blank cards - the pre-written ones are way too wordy and usually too sentimental, if not downright sappy. I *also* got to go to a pagan bookstore (lots of other stuff, too) and they have huge racks full of nothing but blank art cards. I....bought some. *cough*
:D

I would open a bookstore, specializing in sci-fi and fantasy and graphic novels. The sci-fi section at the Barnes and Nobles i went into was one lousy shelf, about ten by ten. LAME.

Oh yes, that unique red colour of sealing wax. I'd forgotten about that.
New and unused stationery has magical attraction properties.

A sci-fi and fantasy bookshop would be a very good alternative. But I would have to keep the door locked closed to stop customers interrupting my reading *g*
