We're all getting old. It's inevitable. And on the whole I prefer that to the alternative *g*

13. How old do you feel?

Younger than I am. We all do, don't we? I don't have any particular age that I feel, really, but I suppose emotionally I feel somewhere around 40. Unfortunately, physically, I feel every one of my years.

For the first time in ages we had temperatures above 0C last night. Mind you the ice and snow is still hanging around in my garden :(

It's getting colder and icier here in Kansas City -17° wind chill means we're homebodies for the near future.

I feel about 40ish, too. I get so annoyed with my body insisting it is a good deal older than that!

The easing wind here has made such a difference. Still ice all over the place, but much less discouraging when you put your nose outside!

Experience is a good shout. You're right about encountering things fresh vs something you've seen many times before. I don't want to get cynical, but it's often helpful to know this stuff comes around...

I am happy now because I woke up to find only a few stubborn spots of melting ice, where yesterday the street was hard packed snow and very slippery ice, but I'm also feeling a bit of a wimp given brunettepet 's -17 deg F wind chill *g*

That would be the bit I didn't mention - emotionally around 40, physically 60 and mentally 12.
