Chilly and wet this morning, but although I'm not keen on that, I am feeling very sorry for the north west of the US and Western Canada.

You need one of those little widgets that holds loose tea and you can swirl around in a mug. Or one of those teapots that has a basket in it for the tea that you can remove when it’s reached your level of strength. :)

I don’t understand Homecoming either.

I’m back wearing socks :(

Yes, I've thought of it, but they are usually not big enough to hold enough tea leaves to make a good strong mug *g*

But it's a nice day today. At least, it is here.

I am feeling very sorry for the north west of the US and Western Canada. I am, too. They're not prepared for these high temperatures. We were in Seattle during a heatwave maybe ten years ago. Our hotel didn't have AC and it was 108° with no breeze at all. We were living in Texas at the time and booked the vacation for some summer relief.

Oh dear, that was the wrong time for you to head north looking for relief. And it's even hotter this year. The news said 50 degrees C (122 F) in one town in British Columbia. That's just crazy!

I prefer loose leaf as well. Black tea for me.

Homecoming is all about American football. I swear, everything in an American high school revolves around the sport. Homecoming refers, I believe, to the first "home" game as opposed to one the team travels to. I never paid attention to these things and yet here I am.

Ah, thank you for that explanation. I suppose I could have googled it, but... *g* I didn't.
Nice to know the answer, though.
