I've been really busy for the last couple of weeks. If I've missed anything that I really should see, please do point me at the post. I also have quite a lot of catch-up to do on the meme, but to save your flists I'll just put it all behind a cut

Nice to see you!
I've been lazy about being online at LJ/DW, dunno why.
Merry Mabon, the autumn equinox!
It's gotten very chilly here in the last couple days - summer's back breaking. I like!
The 'wedding party' are the people actually part of the service - bride and groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, ring-bearer, like that. If you were a guest but didn't participate, then you weren't in the 'wedding party'.
Drive-ins are fun, but I haven't been to one in years. They mostly went away here, but a few came back because of COVID, because you could distance so much better that way.

We've had that sort of weather, too - it has been lovely to sit out for a little with my coffee.
The meme questions often amuse me - I realised that when I see the phrase 'the park', despite living in Onchan for 33 years and the NE for 15 before that, I think of The Mooragh Park. I still call Onchan Park exactly that!

'The Park' is one of those terms that always has a particular meaning. We are lucky in the British Isles to have so many public spaces in our town centers, I think. Nowadays, The Park is, for me, Northumberland Park.

I was terrible at languages, then I make the mistake of taking French when I should have taken Spanish as I lived in Texas and it would have been extremely useful.
Drive-Ins began as part of the American car culture of the 50s and 60s. They've had a bit of resurgence due to COVID.
My doctor has me on vitamin D so I guess they can prescribe them.
My veins are so bad that I haven't given blood in many years. I feel very guilty about it. And I'm very grateful to people such as yourself who give regularly.

Our Spanish teacher was only two weeks or so ahead of us in learning the language, which didn't help, but I do wish I'd applied a bit more dedication to it at the time.
You shouldn't feel guilty. We all do what we can and bad veins are a real problem for blood donation.
