My family is painfully small...which is fine with me...any more people and I'd have an attack...I do miss the grams though. My sister in law has taken their place....I get to celebrate her on that day now. Looking forward to the Rembradt opening sweetheart....it's gunna be FUN!! Ill start looking for a dress...we should go in costume!!!

My birthmother and I have faded from each other's landscapes...but that is ok. We touched base...it was really good...and that is all I really wanted...I just wanted to "know".....and I am still...to this day...a very big "skeleton"...and that always rubbed me the wrong way. I very much love my fam...called mums and she was having a wonderful day so I was happy....just wish I could have walked in with the flowers myself, ya know?

I know....I really wish I had been able to bend my grams ear a bit about her old photos and style. She really had it going on ....there is a huge trunk at my parents house filled to the gills with photos like these...I really need to make off with it before my mother tosses it...if she hasn't already ::panic:: I love that trunk O stuff...and my mum is a consummate "minimalist"...chronically so! ::GAH::

My mum has my great aunts photo albums from the 20's and my great grandmothers - there are some gorgeous photos of them at the beach in their long swimming costumes with parasols and my great grandfather in his cricket whites (being English)!
