I find it ironic that I was scared at the beginning of 2009. I completely forgot that I was once nervous about this year until I searched for this year's resolutions, and remembered, Oh! 2009 was supposed to be scary.

But, it wasn't. ( The anticlimactic outcome. )

I just discovered that for $500, I can make a pin-up calendar of myself! The price may sound steep, but Shameless Photography not only does the photography, but hair and make-up and outfit. One of my greatest tutoring moments ever:

A student asked me how he could avoid repetition. Specifically, the word, confused, popped up in his essay too many times. He was unfamiliar with the thesaurus, so I broke out the good ol' Meriam-Webster, and directed him to find a synonym for confused that he liked ( Read more... )
