I just got a tweet at 629pm. The Dobie Theater is closing this Sunday August 22 - as in, that will be the theater's last day of business :(. The property owners are looking for someone(s) to take over the space and hopefully turn it back into a more locally-oriented theater (this is where Slacker premiered, for example).
