ad-aware won't fix viruses, if it's really a virus that you have; but it sounds like spyware. download and run spybot as well as ad-aware, it catches different things. If you're still having problems, try running both in safe-mode.

If you have a USB device cable (likely), or a firewire cable, and can wait until I'm free (possibly next week), I have major anti-virus whatsits on my external harddrive and would be happy to help you utilize them.

Let it do its stuff, and it will probably help somewhat. Tech support at my school uses it in addition to all of the stuff that comes on our computers because this site tends to be very up to date and effective. Good luck.
