Well. Locke is in his room again, the door closed and staring at the wall, sitting up on his bed. He has not had a good afternoon. He doesn't really look like he has for the past few months. Valen enters by the door, jumping up to the window would probably startle Locke too much even if it is quicker, and he's immediately concerned by the way Locke looks. He closes the door firmly behind him as he moves closer. "Locke? Are you all right?"

A pause, and then he turns one of those half-not-smiles on Valen. "H'lo, by the way."

He sits next to Locke, facing him on the bed. He makes a face at the smell of the wine. "What have you done that makes you such an asshole that you deserve getting drunk on vinegar?"

Here's Anita. Not particularly pleased with Locke, since she saw Phedre coming from her shift and heard her crying in her room.

But.

Her loyalty is to Locke first, and Jaenelle is with Phedre, so she goes looking for answers.

She knocks on the door.

Locke is listening to her footsteps.

"If it's another lecture, 'Nita, take it somewhere else. I'm drunk, won't get through anyway."

He recognizes the beat of them. Some benefits to being a thief, anyway.

"Not that kind of professor." Dryly.

He looks farther along that direction than he usually does. He swirls the wine in the bottle. "Gods. This stuff is awful. Didn't know they made shit this bad."
