I learned a long time ago that I can save myself and the people around me, and that's about as far as I can reach. I try not to worry about the rest.

You know, I had to switch my home page to the Weather Channel for a while, just to not see the headlines (while Richard was a tiny infant and the postpartum depression was in full swing....).

I'm not sad to say I missed the news regarding the shopping horrors (WTF is wrong with people?!), but have been following the Mumbai stuff.

Gawd. (Again, WTF....)

I am glad to have friends like you, too, buddy.

Glad to live here in America, even with all its problems, glad to be in New England on top of it all (even though I don't get to see my friends as often as I'd like), glad for my life.
