Most of those things I usually do (hopefully) unconsciously. But I'll try and 'ramp up' my actioins and do more consciously.
I've always thought that the words "Thank You for doing..." are woefully under-used.

Indeed! Thats the hook. They have to be conscious, or else you won't give yourself credit for being a nice person. And yes, Thank you is very much under used.

Honey... It's not a job. It's a crusade. Are you consciously aware that you are doing good and noble things *as you do them*? If so, it counts.

Does my husband count as a random person?

No, he doesn't count as a random person but he counts for this exercise. :)

Thursday, on my daily (sort of) walk, I passed a cop just walking up Cavendish and I said thank you as we passed and he said, surprised, you're welcome. :-)

I'm like my twin, Son. Just do things without thinking about them.

Ahhh...but the point of this is to think about it. When you do things unconsciously you rarely give yourself credit. :)

You do have a point there.

Hmmm. Would taking my Girl Scout troop to a statewide mall sleepover where there will be no sleep count? It was a conscious decision to do so - and one I am already questioning my sanity about as my daughter bounces off the walls waiting until we go (it starts at 9:30pm tonight and ending 8am tomorrow morning).
