Eeeee! This is so good, omg, so finely observed and CRAZY HOT considering the rating. :D

Peter admiring Neal's map drawing gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Bravo! Beautifully done. I love the lyrical prose, especially the way you take the time to describe the little things. This has to be one of my favorite lines from a WC fic: "This act of boldness and charm, he was used to. It was the moments in between that could scare him to death."

Great job. Please write more soon!

But the way Neal blushed, looking down at shoes, always betrayed his bravado. He covered it up by flipping his hat onto his head, with a grin. Peter wasn’t shocked by this. This act of boldness and charm, he was used to. It was the moments in between that could scare him to death.

Gaaaaaah. You've just....woven this story together, like a tapestry. Your word choices are perfect, lyrical and arcing and cyclical and GAH. I love Peter's parts especially, you really get that sense of him being at the edge of the precipice, and you do a beautiful job of describing Neal the way Peter sees him. Gorgeous, just gorgeous.

I just love this dynamic. I know the show makes it pretty light until we have the same exact "trust" conversation every episode, but gah, Peter locked Neal up and now Neal's all "ilu trust me" it's like you know they're both kind of messed up, so they're fun to write.

Um, for serious. And I agree, they're really fun to play around with; much as the show can be a little clunky with their relationship at times (I'm really starting to get bruises from all those trust anvils), they've got such great chemistry and they're both such casually complicated people. There's so much to work with.

Also, the image of Neal drawing the progression of the Renaissance on napkins has stuck with me like it happened in the show, just FYI :D
