After sweating and swearing a lot I finally received my 1099 from the Social Security Administration. With it came a handy little worksheet that, once completed, said I didn't have to file my taxes this year. It's a good thing, too, because if I filed them now they'd be two weeks too late.

For a few weeks I've had a persistently recurring headache. I'm not sure what's causing it but the pain is mostly in my temple and jawline, so I'm beginning to suspect it might be dental-related. Studies show that pets are good for your health. I've always had animals around; growing up we had dogs, cats, a turtle, fish, and other pets. I'm on the fence in the debate of cats vs. dogs - I like 'em both. Dogs are better companions, though, and because they're pack animals they gel more easily. I blog using Dokuwiki because it's fast, simple, and has all the features I want. I've used other wikis - namely TWiki, PHPWiki, and MediaWiki - but none hit the mark for my personal use quite like Dokuwiki.
