Alicia was freaking out. It was 6 months before Beijing and something awful had happened - Alicia was in love. Normally, this would not be a bad thing, but in this instance, it was catastrophic. The problem was not so much that she was in love, but who she was in love with - another gymnast. Another female gymnast. Another female gymnast who happened to be one of her best friends. So it was understandable that Alicia was freaking out.
She had been thinking about it for a long time and had decided there was only one thing to do. She left the cabin, determined to see things through.
