Talk about quick customer support
So I got a new control box for my Cobalt Flux pads last week (has GCN, Xbox (though I don't use that one), PS2 and USB ports). I found that the PS2 port was not working, though all of the others that I could check were. So I sent an email to their support address yesterday. I finally replaced my dying PC monitor (the bulb was having severe issues) with a 19" HDTV with a VGA port. I'm surprised with how cheap they've gotten. While the maximum resolution for VGA is somewhat of a step down from the monitor (1280x1024->1366x768), the fact that I'm able to use higher quality cable connections with the PS3 (using a HDMI ( Read more... ) -

Disadvantage of running a 64-bit Windows...some of the old Descent and Descent 2 missions with DOS self-extracting archives have to be opened by the archiver program that was used to create them because the EXE files won't run (16-bit programs don't function on the 64-bit Windows versions)...ran into this with the D2 Phobos Encounter mission and ( Read more... ) -

Really now, who's bright idea was it to have NaNoWriMo during November? We've got elections (which have taken up a majority of gloraelin's time tonight watching results) at the beginning, and Thanksgiving near the end, plus the start of the holiday shopping season RIGHT after. Isn't there a better month? -

It seems ATI's OpenGL driver for Windows 7 x64 has problems...at least to the point where none of my OpenGL games work properly (Descent 3 blackscreens when using OGL, D2X-Rebirth flickers badly on fullscreen and has no screen at all in windowed mode...I suppose it's a good thing EvE defaults to Direct3D).
