I hated that assignment. It's really hard finding comedians these days that are actually funny. I tried using John Cleese, but found out he dabbles in love potions. I ended up having to use using Eric Idle.

May I recommend "I Dream of Jeannie" or "Bewitched"? Both already have magical subject matter. A little practical knowledge of magic might've provided additional material.
