So I went to the movies - instead of watching football muahaha - to go see Snow White and the Huntsman.

Though, a question comes to mind... why is it a lot of modern movies feel like the SyFy network films? You know, filled with plot holes and missing chunks of dialogue? I was really excited about the next Titans film, Wrath of the Titans, but when I watched it it felt like there was a good half hour of dialogue, character development and plot missing (don't get me wrong, I still loved the film - Sam Worthington AND Rosamund Pike in the same film together? I have noticed that a lot of films lately tend to make less effort in the writing if that makes sense. It's like the special effects are supposed to make one forget the scenario is not complete. Or that as long as there are explosions and 3D, no one cares about the rest - and they still get to be blockbusters (Transformers anyone?). It's rather disappointing really. I love scifi and fantasy, but it makes it more difficult to find films I enjoy as much as I used to.

Did not see the movies you mention, so I will look into that and see what I think of them!
I won't go see Prometheus. I love scifi but I get scared like hell so no way I am watching that on a big screen in the dark LOL I need a lot of light to be sure I make my way through it :) I'm sure the movie is not as bad as your nightmare LOL And actually I'm sure it's quite good, it's just difficult to go in there with no expectations if you know Alien.
