Looks like the maturity level has taken a nosedive again.

Yes, I'm talking about the whole wankfest on Mecha Erotica.  I missed it because I was taking my daughter to a doctor appointment but I heard about it later.  Read the comments when they were reactivated.  Shook head and facepalmed a lot.  Saw some of the other comments people made in their own journals too ( Read more... )

I have to admit, the wank is becoming more prevelant in my area of the fandom *sigh*

... pun not intended...

But yeah, read the rules and realise what the comm offers... it seems to be only recently that sticky has come to the forefront. Plug n play and tactile stim has been around for ages...

Of course, I am still desperately wracking my brains as to whether I've ever stated where interfacing cables are on the chassis *grins*

Heh, I wasn't gloating, nor have I ever wanted to post to mecha_erotica. I created Me_drivecar specifically for the purpose of having my own comm to post my sticky fic, rather than annoy all of the other people who are on mecha_erotica for the reason of it not being on there. Because, face it, a lot of people can't stand sticky tf sex. I reserve the right to complain about it, sure, because I wish that it wasn't so, thank you very much.

Heh, like I was being serious. Perhaps you're too serious. I mean, the tf fandom, it's fantasy, it's supposed to be riotously fun. That's why we're here. I'm not sure where you're coming up with this 'heckling' of other people's fic, because I have never done that to you, or anyone else. Ever. You originally accosted me of being disrepectful in my posts on my personal journal. I can do that. Yes, free speech does work in both ways. I have the right to get offended when you say stuff like that, especially when I don't even know you, hahaha.

Too serious? LOL perhaps. But since we have never met in person, as you said, you cannot expect someone to read your mind and tell when you are being serious or not. Because unless it is explicitly stated, it is open to misinterpretation. It is supposed to be fun. Just some people have a different idea of fun than others.

I never said you heckled anyone's fic. I said I wasn't heckling anyone's fic even if I didn't particularly like it. Which is why I don't contribute a lot to your comm.

Accosted? You sound like I mugged you on the street. You expressed your opinion, I expressed mine. Even if it is posted to your personal journal, that doesn't mean everyone is going to agree with you.

Can I bite them? Just a little? Just a nip off the top? You don't think they'll notice, do you?

Grimorck is not made for puppy eyes. XD

Seriously though, I'm totally behind having (and keeping) the plug 'n play comm, strictly plug 'n play, and say hoorah! to the mods for putting their feet down about it. I like sticky, it's far more fun than I would ever have thought, but M_E ain't the place for it.

They fragging nitpicked it to death. What part don't they understand!! cry moar These are the type of people that would get up from the steering of their RV make coffee while traveling down the road. Then they wonder why they crash. 'But the instruction manuals never said...'

I do believe they're pleading for sympathy at the Cell as well. Can I haz lulz?

*snort*

Oops, accidently deleted my original response.

Chew away dearie. *chuckles*

I'm with you on that. People probably didn't read the rules or didn't think it applied to them. Happens all the time.

They won't get sympathy at the Cell. The old guard (to coin a phrase), are mostly long time members of M_E.

Honestly, the mods at M_E don't have to explain themselves or defend their rules, ever. It's their comm. Their rules, their playground. And they have the right to enforce them, no matter how unfair people think the rules are. Members who post are obligated to follow the rules or walk away. Period. No discussion. It's not NOT a democracy. And freedom of speech doesn't apply here. Sorry.

Exactly my thoughts. If people don't like the rules, they don't have to go there.

Huzzah and agreement on my end. It's not a democracy, it's a benevolent dictatorship. Why is it so hard to follow rules? It takes much less effort to say 'fine' and go off and make your own comm devoted to as much sticky as you can handle.

Aiya...

And even if the rules are a bit vague or open to interpretation, it's the mods' jobs to do the interpreting not the poster and if the mods say "You're breaking the rules" then their word is final. Doesn't matter what the poster thinks.

That's right. The author in question is complaining that the chapters she posted didn't have the sex in them. So they don't belong on the comm either way. It's not a general fiction comm.

I find it ironic that all the people who's fics I enjoy and find well written are agreeing with me. The people who's fics don't interest me at all or I think could use a little work are the ones freaking out on me.

And they banned me from their journals and comm, so I can't even reply to their statements. No matter. Let them pout. They are doing fantastic at that all ready.
