Well. At first I heard the sandhill crane migration. But then I went out and watched them.

Yay sandhills! They were passing through my area a couple weeks ago - even the tiniest hint of sandhill cranes calling and I am required to go outside and look for them. It's the law.

I've never actually encountered them in my area of the woods before! I mean, I've seen them when I was on a roadtrip myself, but I haven't heard them from my house before. It was really exciting.
