My week, This week.

Mar 25, 2010 13:44

The week started out good. I ordered new shoes and am still waiting for their arrival however when I went to bed things got upsetting. A little while after I got over my terrible cold that was in fact, I started getting a pain in my left side up near my arm. Since I am in weight-training I just attributed this to a pulled muscle or a pinched nerve ( Read more... )

I hope your week goes better this time around. I'd talk to your doctor again and make sure it isn't Celiac Disease. Since people who are allergic to gluten can usually still intake low gluten based foods.

You can find a list of gluten free foods here: http://www.gicare.com/diets/gluten-free.aspx

Gluten free recipes here: http://www.glutenfreeda.com/index.asp

If you're ever in Minneapolis or St. Paul, many vegan shops sell gluten free pizzas, ethnic foods, cookies, etc. You could also try the MN farmer's market.

Where do you work, KenKen?

Oh I'm positive its not as bad as Celiac's. My sister has that but I don't get quite as sick as she does. It might develop into that though later on...

Yes I'm super good at finding gluten free cookies and pizzas but thanks so much for the info!

I work at an assisted living facility, I basically waitress there. It's not bad a lot of the time but some of them have really bad and gross habits that are not fun to deal with >

Aww... poor Ken. We'll have to hang out again soon. That'd be fun.

But, yeah, ibuprofen made me puke blood once... that was an exciting morning... but, anyway, you don't have to have eaten a ton of food to have a "not-empty" stomach. Maybe start carrying trail mix around with you and have a handful before you take each dose. (Unless M&Ms manage to sneak gluten in somehow? I don't know.)

And everything you mentioned about your stepford teacher was absolutely facepalm-worthy. One day you may look back fondly on those moments. Or at least have good stories to tell without having to have done anything stupid yourself.

Also-also, I went to a thai restaraunt today and they had a symbol to point out their gluten-free meals... so it must be a fairly common thing that customers are worried about.

*hugs*

It's funny, I just bought trail mix today and totally forgot how great it is XD !

Oh I'll always cherish memories I have even if I'm the one doing stupid things like that time I said 'Norwegia' to Cathy and meant Norway. lol.

Ah! That's awesome about the restaurant, I know that my mother and sister have been looking online for gluten free menus, it definitely is getting more prevalent or being more of a concern and I'm super happy about it. <3

And yes to the hanging out, I think I'm free the 16th and 17th but thats pretty much the only weekend in April I'm not busy! (crazy month!)
