It is. The assorted skills people bring to the table is one of the reasons fandom is so great :)

Well considering that my mom is also a grandma... ;)

I think what I found strangest was that she's mostly a Ronon fan ("He's such a sweet boy" o_0)and I didn't think she paid much attention to the rest of the characters. But yeah, in a way it's a great thing to have a mom who can appreciate slash :D

Yes, we have a severe dearth of good vidders in J/T segment of fandom. But there have been a couple of awesome ones.

Unfaithful (obfreak) and Nature's Law (tray_lord) are both pretty good.

I've found myself a song that I think would do well for Teyla, actually. I just have to get the necessary episodes...

Thanks for the links! "Unfaithful" is one of the few good ones I've seen. That may be due to my stalking YouTube for vids after the big MGM take-it-all-down.
