When others have defied their families - in effect, disgraced their names and ruined their prospects - I've never really been able to approve, or even understand. Even in Pansy's situation (and she means...a lot to me), I've never quite been able to justify it to myself, even after she explained her position to me last night ( Read more... )

I don't think that it was wrong, per se. I don't agree with it - and I even partly wish that you'd obeyed your parents - but I'm not condemning you for doing it. It was your free decision.
