Even in Pansy's situation (and she means...a lot to me), I've never quite been able to justify it to myself, even after she explained her position to me last night

I don't think that it was wrong, per se. I don't agree with it - and I even partly wish that you'd obeyed your parents - but I'm not condemning you for doing it. It was your free decision.
