The best things I made this year, (many of which involved other people's work and help and inspiration) in order from best to lest best:
01. “Breakfast for Dinner”
Not enough babies or poop, and it probably makes a little too much sense, but breakfast for dinner is the quintessential Bad Boyz n da Back song.

I knew I didn't want to do this again in 2011. It was great, but I guess I was just a little disappointed with the whole thing. Like the pressure to do something every day was more than the fruits of the pressure. Especially if I was out hiking and camping all day or something. New song I'm working on. Yes the snare sound is a tennis serve. Headphones or speakers if you want to hear even a trace of the bass line or beat. I can't detect it at all with my macbook's built-in speakers, anyway.

More Brighter Arrows stuff. The noise/synth, the piano, and the bells are me. this is an awful take and the bells are super messed up as my computer couldn't handle running a .wav file through ableton and me playing crap at the same time but i'm too lazy to do it again.

My most ingenious friend Kathleen had the idea to make our friend Jake a hotdog cake for his birthday. I helped her make it and she thought I did a bad job mixing the colors (white frosting + food coloring) and maybe she was right. The mustard looked right though.

I still don't like the arpeggiator's sound (the thing in the beginning), but here's a song I'm working on. I really like where it's going. It used to be called Reuptake is for squares... by Holland, 1945. But I'm rewriting it, and there's electronixxx and vocals now. And no explosions in the sky ripoffs.
