3. Ahahaha maaaan that's the worst. There's a certain mindset that comes with exam periods, for me. I used to think more time to study = woo hoo! but really, it's not true at all. If I have an exam that takes 4 days to prep for, I need to do it in 4 days. Not 3 and not 5. And if I have a week to prep I have to spend the first 3 days taking a break from studying and that is a SUPER recipe for disaster. It's happened to me so many times that I had more time than I needed, a fun/easy exam and just... it did not end well. Something about switching gears, idk.
5. reading comments on online newspapers is the way to madness. It's almost as bad as reading youtube comments. Just... no.
3. You know, I feel like we might have had this discussion before (I might well be imagining things), but see, you're working on (Er. Have finished? I'm unfortunately senile on top of everything else) about seventeen degrees at the same time. Saying that our studying woes are the same will be me being very dishonest, ie: telling myself that at the end of the day, I will be awesome.
---- Buuuuut that's still exactly right, because this is a fun and possibly even easy exam, and I got excellent grades in both the midterm and the homework (through no fault of my own, I uploaded at least one assignment while basically asleep), and while I know for a fact, because people keep saying it, that this is one of those courses where everything is easy except the final exam, it's now two days before and I still somehow believe it'll be okay (or, in other words, that in the end I'll be awesome

I am similarly avoiding History of Cinema studying D:
OMG GURL BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LJ/FANDOM AND ONLINE NEWSPAPERS. It's like like saying that you like talking to people you work with so why not talk to random homeless people on the street. NOT THE SAME THING. I would love to know what people think about various news items (well, not really, BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS) but experience has proven this is simply not possible with online newspapers, the comments there are populated by 98% trolls. I mean, I believe some of these people amy not realize they're trolls, BUT THEY ARE.
See now I'm going to have to look at pictures of Sherlock Holmes just to calm down some.

Hey... wanna switch? *g* I'll throw in, um, we have some apple cake, and possibly some bamba...
Homeless people probably have a better than average chance of being interesting, but I do get what you're saying. (Although I think it's less fandom/LJ and more the places I end up looking at -- less talking to everyone at work than choosing which work spaces to step into. Going random places in fandom often makes me go o.O, though usually not to the same degree.)
I would love to know what people think about various news items (well, not really, BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS)I keep finding myself deciding that opinions that are idiotic or insane clearly don't actually count in trying to assess the average opinion. I know by now that doesn't actually work, both because averages don't work that way (at least not when there are so many idiotic/insane opinions) and because if it did, more than one political party would be out of work, not to say all of them. But hey, I also know the
