So I'm finally halfway through the Sherlock Holmes movie, a mere thousand years after it came out, and I had to pause to share this news: I think I actually ship Holmes and Watson. I seriously didn't think that was going to happen. The only thing I really shipped in the books was Holmes/a swift kick in the ass. What is happening

I am fully in support of you slashing Holmes and Watson and whatever. However, I'm just going to say upfront that I will fight dirty to make sure you don't leave RPF fandoms. Just saying. I have nails.

I actually started emailing you guys about this starting 'I'm aware this isn't bandom (YET)' and now I can't shake off the image of Ryan Ross as Holmes - this Holmes, I mean, not the classic one. Which... would make Spencer Watson, of course, but also make Brendon Irene, and I'm not quite sure Brendon can handle that. I suppose Pete Wentz could be Irene...

ANYWAY, I think the point here is, worry not because my brain was clearly built for a minimum of three fandoms. (And SPN, which doesn't count.) Also, HOW ARE YOU AWAKE, lady_nimua was right. There is something wrong with you.

TBH, I didn't really have anything to say about Holmes, I was only posting so late to freak you out. However I see that you only replied like half an hour later, so pot kettle, etc.

Yes, but if I held back from judging people about things I do myself I wouldn't have any entertainment at all.

SERIOUSLY. For this movie my default pairing is OT4 and barring that an OT3. Like, look, in Holmes' perfect universe he would Watson and Irene to himself, at all times, and they would just BE THERE and they'd never go away and it would all be OK and he would get to use them (for any and all purposes) when he needed them.

AND THE FACT THAT THIS IS NOT SO IS CAUSING HIM IMMENSE AMOUNTS OF STRESS.

Have you read any fic? Should I start digging stuff up?

I really wanted to OT4 them! I was absolutely hoping to find Mary awesome, both because I generally like nice guy/girl characters and because Irene was so... hmm. I wouldn't say Mary Sue, but in a movie that was basically written for fandom, she was the female character for fandom, all the little boxes ticked. I loved her, mostly, but I would have liked to love a more low-key female character, too. But I didn't feel like we got to see enough of Mary for me to like or dislike her (though the bit at dinner might have been enough if I liked the character more).

I'm absolutely looking for fic but I think our tastes are pretty different, maybe? If something seems obvious, I'd love a link/direction to look, but don't go to hard work because that'll make me feel guilty. *g* Thank you!
