on a day like this, i remember why i wanted to go to MIT in the first place. -
seeing again
that is, seeing underwater. it's been more than a decade since i could last see clearly in the water. i should have ordered these prescription goggles a long time ago.
i did 550 yards in 20 mins and got out before i became tired. guess it's not too bad for getting back into swimming. -
readings
have you read "Revolt of the Masses" by Ortega y Gasset? it is a warning of the rise of the mediocre "mass-man" and how the state becomes the greatest danger. i came across this book amid readings of Veblen, Klosterman, Lindblom, Friedmann... i wonder if the purpose of the dept. is to make me really confused...
