I make fun of Dashboard all the time and I've never heard a single one of their songs. Some doofus at school back in '01 was always raving about them so even when they got widely popular later on they still had that doofus stigma, for me at least.

I really wouldn't expect a place with a name like Joe's Crab Shack to be good. I mean you have Joe (generic name), Crab (main definition is inoffensive but has other, more disturbing meanings associated with it) and shack (brings to mind extreme poverty).So poor generic badness would seem to be the order of the day.

dashboard is very easy to make fun of because it's squealing girl music on the surface though most of it actually does have a deeper meaning

the lead singer, chris carrabba, is a very smart man but he's also a sex symbol so you definitely have to make fun of him for being 'gay' anyway

joe's crab shack... what do you expect? I was with a bunch of guys. lol. never again. there's better food at dick's and that's an even worse name. :oP
