on growing up in a buddhist household

in comparison to some people i know, i guess it's kind of cool not being raised as a homophobic, sexist, cycle breaking, flesh eating, narrow minded, spiritually, and religiously dependant mental crippple who is scared of sex, but when december comes around, oh how i envy those non buddhists. everyones all going apeshit about christmas, channukah

wow, i didn't know you were genuinely buddhist. that makes you the first korean i know (outside of family) that was actually raised buddhist. but i thought all koreans adopted christmas regardless of religious affiliation, due to a sense of...well no, my parents sort of only went through the motions before giving up once we were in our teens

eh.. my personal philosophy is more of pure land buddhism and some taoism, but i was raised mahayana(zen) buddhist like all the east asians, so i can't really get out of it. i am agnostic, but i think ideas of bodhisattva is intriguing. my mom is one, and it's kind of nice. and you know all koreans are confucianists whether they know it or not. it's just one of those things.

and t4, i think is just an american version of t5 and they supposedly are the same, but i just want one 'cause you know.. that pretentious snobery effect. but seriously though, fuck manual clunky professional lookin 35mm. if it's not point and shoot(convenience), or it's a leica(superiority), it's not worth it.
