A Song That Makes Me Cry
I might not cry at the drop of a hat, nor do I really get the idea of "needing a good cry." But I will admit that there have been some great stories and songs which tug at the ol' heartstrings.
My grampa was born in Kentucky. I have heard stories of his youth. He liked to embellish a bit, so you could never be sure how much of what he said was true. Then again, considering my own experiences, I have started to believe that there was more truth to his stories than Granma and Mom believed.
Anyway, life was not always easy for him or his family. And this song, to me at least, hits home and hits hard.
