Planning for fall

While I grade an obnoxious stack of papers, I take mental breaks to plan some stuff for fall (is that strange?). I have some ideas for how I ant to change up things I did this year. Those are great ideas! I especially love that you have them following news sources other than what's in their own backyards. Very clever and getting them to think outside the box.

I also had to laugh -- we're both picking up brand-new APs next year. We should definitely commiserate/plan/get excited about that together this summer.

Totally! I wonder if the AP class I will have to take is the same time as yours? I am hoping to take the students, at minimum my 9th graders, to the public library for a day to have the librarian go over ways to research that don't involve Google or Wiki, explain the sources, etc. I'd love to take all of the kids, but I just have to see how my actual schedule rolls out.

I am finding it hard to focus on the grading I need to do, since planning for a new year is way more fun than grading something that has errors I have been correcting all year! Oy!
