GETTING BETTER
After making it through both brain surgery and then 15 daily treatments of low dose radiation on the brain which ended on March 21st. I'm finally starting to feel better. Melt Down - unfinished
Yesterday was not a good for me, but then what day is a good day for me lately. As usual I was having problems with nausea. The one medicine that worked the day before causes drowsiness and that's not good because then I sleep instead of eating like I should. Just Getting Stuff Out and Feeling Better By Doing So
I'm so tired of not feeling all that good and being cold. It doesn't seem to matter what the temp is outside or how high I set my thermostat, I'm cold. Even wearing layers of clothes and wrapping up in a blanket doesn't help. Thankfully I have an electric blanket on my bed. Taking Another Look
I think I've made some mistakes with those I consider good friends. There are those that I consider very good, real friends - you know the ones - they are the ones that will be there for you no matter what.. Putting Things in Perspective
I've been fighting cancer for almost 6 years now and even though it's basically a death sentence, I've had some fears but those fears really haven't been all that scary until now. Follow up medical tests
Going in for medical tests like CT Scans and MRis is always a little unnerving and tends to cause one to worry about the results. The number of times you get these tests doesn't seem to ease that worry. Being a cancer patient for almost 7 years I've get a CT Scan about every 3 months. Needless to say, I'm very excited because this morning I will have my last radiation treatment. In spite of my last treatment being a double edged sword, I still really happy that I'll be done. Make a Wish for Adults
For children with cancer there are all kinds of organizations and foundations - like Make a Wish. For adults there really isn't much available and I sort of understand why, but adults with cancer have dreams and wishes too and they can't always afford to live out those dreams/wishes ( Read more... ) -
So Very Hard
Overall my recovery from my surgery has been going okay. Having my aunt here when I first came home from my surgery was a definite plus. She was a big help. I just felt bad because she had to come back after she left the first time because I had a little relapse and needed more help. Her coming back up for a few days seemed to fix everything ( Read more... )
