This broke my heart in so many ways, good ones and not<3. I really liked how you wrote Ricardo, so in character. The bits about his never-ending resolution to God really are like him.

But this was my favorite part...

idk it just fits really well.

The ending, didn’t see that coming, but it makes sense in relationships as that happen, and sometimes love isn't enough.

I'm not a believer but to be told all your life that God watches over you all the time and then you're supposed to do something so private as to have sex with your partner... must be conflicting to say the least. if you're not an exhibitionist that is ;)

but err, anyway. glad you liked! it's hard to write him without making him stereotypically christian lol.

ahh the ending~ their love is deeper now, more unconditional and in a way platonic, because they have a greater understanding of each other after all they've been through. and they let go of each other but at the same time not. if that makes sense lol.
