I never heard the term "midmorning" - what time is that? 8,9,10?
We were also "blessed" with too much of rain this so called "summer"...

Yeah, midmorning would be 9-10, give or take. It's not exact, and I figure it's pretty much exactly what he wrote 午前中, which is the middle of the AM.

Global clmate change for sure! Louisiana's downpour finally shifted--to Texas! Two weeks of rain in Texas in August, and not caused by a hurricane? I don't remember this ever happening before.

Yes, I´ve watched what happened in Louisiana on NHK World and German TV. Horrible! And California is burning up. The weather is getting more extreme everywhere.
We even had a Tornado in our city this summer - that was a novum as well.
