I seem to be in a project-launching mood these days. also I just got the go-ahead on this from my co-conspirator (who is too busy to take a lead role, and so will remain nameless unless she chooses otherwise

haha I just wanted to say how much your options amused me. I couldn't resist the cage match.
but don't pay much mind to my answers, as I doubt I'd participate much. I'd love to watch the discussions, but I'm not much of a fic reader... anything longer than 1000 words, I just skim looking for the porny bits.
I would really prefer that posts be locked, as my LJ account is more closely tied to my IRL ID than my fandom username, and so I don't really want to tie my LJ name to public fic discussions.
I'm so glad you brought this up - it's something that hadn't even occurred to me, although I realize now that I know several people whose LJs are fairly closely yoked to meatspace.
I don't know this platform all that well, so I have to ask: would making the community members-only be enough to protect you from unwanted crossover? (I also realize that not everyone in this situation is going to feel exactly the same way about it, so just speak for yourself here.)
Honestly, it is currently an effort for me to check this one regularly (blah blah LJ is dying blah blah) - there is no way I'd ever remember to check another one as well. In fact I do have an LJ under my fandom name in order to post my fics to comms and I haven't even remembered to do THAT for my past couple fics.
Just a quick note to say this sounds great! I won't be much good for suggestions, since I'm not very active in this fandom, but I'm interested in participation in the discussion. M.
