Jennifer followed as Joshua's parents escorted her to the door to the basement. She stepped through the door and heard it close behind her as she decended down the stairs. It was dark, but not really creepy as far as she was concerned. At the end of the stairs she looked down the hallway to her left and to her right. Which way was she supposed to go?
Joshua's senses were already beginning to heighten. His ears prickled. "Jennifer??"
He watched as Bartholomew rose and pulled on a hanging lightswitch - sometimes they forgot that they were the only ones with extraordinary senses. Then the vampire disappeared down the hall, looking for Jenny.
The vampire nodded to the direction from whence he just came. "He's down there. Come on, we pulled out a chair for you and.. stuff." Stuff, meaning a garbage can in case she got sick, sniffing ammonia in case she passed out.
