Well, I took over my friend Varia's account since he has been taking an extended break from the game. I helped him get all his RDM AF almost a year ago but he seemed perpetually stuck at 56... so I applied some of Kaska's adventuring prowess and got to work!

Monk is really fun and powerful, and I think the Crow set has done miracles for me, because I have yet to die in PT even though I continually sub WAR. I do end up eating the MP if I'm careless, but Crow has helped keep that to a minimum. Kikuji is awesome in how well he can hold hate, and his Jins are really good, I'm glad the damage layout is ( Read more... )

Spirit Surge is nifty. The whole DRG update teaser was centered around making DRG more useful in BCs, and that is reflected in Spirit Surge. It drains all of your Wyvern's attributes, some of its HP, and all of its TP into the Dragoon making him uber for a short time. Got MNK to 52, borrowing Taku's Cross-Counters. Tried out NIN sub, predictably I did really crappy WS but I only got hit like twice the entire night. Much of that had to do with never pulling hate. Interesting later, boring now. Got me some crow gear, gonna take my chances ( Read more... )

Those 3 Hand 2 Hand Upgrades caused me to get Raging Fists at 39, two levels early, and I went from 37-44 in a PT last night. Raging Fists is really awesome, it's turning out the best damage I've seen in this PT so far, with several of both mine and Shino's breaking 500 already ( Read more... )

Got from 31-37 MNK last night, then today I went and camped Nue; about 20 minutes later, servers went down for maintenance. When they came back I was able to pop it in about 10 minutes.
