so apparently, the ONE document i was supposed to send the peace corps WAAAAY back in november, RIGHT when i first found out where i was placed... i never did it. thought i did, recall sending it... but now, looking at the form asking for my 'aspirations' and a special 'peace-corps-oriented resume'..... i definetally havnt done this before.

this is what i told myself: you already have the invitation. they cant take that back now. they have already decided you are qualified enough. so, do the best you can, but unless you write something like "i hate poor people and fuck bush" on one of those sheets, its not going to make a bit of difference one way or another.

but, if you are worried that your motives for joining are less than genuine, i would consider making this is a friends-only post.

no, this is definetally something i've wanted to do for a long time, i just feel as though i've lost my ability to articulate my 'aspirations' and desires. its just super nerve wracking, 'cause this is the ONLY information that PC Kenya will receive about us... they didnt get to see my fantastic interview, or read my letters of recomendation or anything... and so its terrifyint being summed up on 3 sheets of paper. within categories i find really really limiting.

i agree. it is a lot of pressure to make a good first impression with just a few little sheets of paper. i guess all im saying is that this isnt the only chance you will have to show PC kenya what you are all about. there will be plenty of opportunities during training for you to demonstrate your strengths and motivation.

ditte! you're a fantastic, motivated, strong minded female whose not afraid to stand up for the right thing, even in difficult situations. you're also one of the most compassionate, caring individuals I've ever met... and that shines through in a lot of the things you do and the way you behave towards everyone.
