I am now under the impression that science writing should be done whilst drinking a beer, eating chex mix, and listening to Gillian Welch. It's really the only way.

I decided today that when I'm not tired and distracted by classes and TA work, and I have some familiarity with the procedures, I actually like working in the lab. That's a good sign, since I'll be at this for at least 3 more years or so ( Read more... )

I did better than I thought I my kinetics test. I was pretty happy about it, because I got a pretty high B, unfortunately a semester's worth of toil and strife only gets summed up in one letter. Ah, well. I'm really happy it's over ( Read more... )

I took my last kinetics exam today. I think it went okay, but this professor is killer with the partial credit. Somehow he's going to grade them by Friday, before he goes out of town, then that's it! End of class.

And I'm grading. Lots.

I went with Amanda, my friend from work, to a mass at St. Thomas tonight. It's a pretty big church right on campus, so there's a lot of students there.
