I met these two old, European-sounding men at the Yonge-Bloor subway station today. One was standing, wearing a baseball cap with the letter 'P' on it and playing violin. The other was sitting, wearing a stereotypical Russian-style hat and playing accordian ( Read more... )

this is so great.
sometimes, when i see small chilren on the bus, i think of that picture you took of the small boy at the laundry mat when you did your project for OAC art which i believe was called "the colours of the world in black and white"
his hand was pressed against the glass.
he looked so curious.
it was a really precious image.

and then you did your seminar on dada art.
yep.

since then, i have probably sat through the same lecture about 9 times.

i still have a squirrel you drew for me a million and 2 years ago.

i hope you are still sketching and comicing because you have a very amasing talent.
you should post some of your drawings here.

Oh Dada. I barely remember that seminar... in fact I didn't even know it was a seminar. Now I feel smart when people make esoteric references to Dada. Snap.

I barely passed that class... I didn't show up for class for the last month or so because the computer in the classroom was really old and it didn't have the program I was using to colourize my pictures.

I dug the video you made with Nik Wever very much. I remember the paintings Nik did too.

That little kid was adorable... I was so glad when I had the camera out and he put his hand up to the glass. It made for such a good picture. It was Adrian Wilkinson's hand up to the other side of the glass.

I still draw frequently... whenever there's a piece of paper in front of me. The last comprehensive piece of work I did was a Valentine card for Megan... we made ones for each other with construction paper... I drew a Ninja Turtle.

aw, homemade Valentine's Day cards are so cute. They're so sentimental and they bring back childhood memories of making them with the rest of my class when I was a little kid.

I recently found a bunch of Valentine cards from my first few years of school... why they were all kept, I don't know, but seeing the shitty kid's signatures was pretty funny.

I agree with Megan on the whole writing thing. Sounds like there are a lot of interesting people when you travel.
