that is depressing. i wish i had a time machine and could see what vancouver island looked like one hundred years ago.

in one of the cosmos episodes it was talking about whales and how they have this insane method of communication and a whale in the south pacific can talk to one in the north pacific. But like because of all the ships in the ocean now their communication range has been cut down to like 100 km or something.

And also because of whaling there are not alot of whales to talk to anymore.

it was talking about how smart they are that way. Like in their social interactions. They sing songs that are incredibly complex and then they migrate away and when they come back to the same spot they start the song again at the exact same note.

it must be so lonely for them now. I guess i was thinking about it like if suddenly all our telephones and internet and mail and media was shut down.

the sonar on navy ships (primarily US) are so strong that the dolphins either go deaf or can't take the noise and beach themselves.

but chelsea tell me what is actually better? cause farmed fish suck for the enviroment but apparently we're depleting the wild fish.
