I am caught in the dreaded reboot loop.
Unfortunately, I never got around to making an XP SP3 restore CD.
Craptacular.

I do NOT have time for this and I've basically wasted an hour+ on it now.

Grrrrr....

If you ever get into windows, safe mode, whatever, open system properties (ctrl panel or window button + pause/break), go to advancedm, startup and recovery, settings, and make sure to uncheck "Automatically restart" under system failure. that should at least let you see the blue screen

Yeah. I would, but it won't boot into safemode. It starts to load it then it hangs and reboots.

I had a hunch it is the wireless driver that is the culprit, but it doesn't seem like that would load so early in the boot process.

If that's all it was you could just boot without networking.

There seem to be boot disks of all shapes and sizes out there for whatever purpose you may have in mind (from troubleshooting <->repairing)

True, I'm going to research that one after I settle in up north. Cat's also offered up her work computer to attempt to make a restore DVD, but I don't know how well that'll work. I need to at least find my driver disc to use with it.
